Kids loving it

Here are some pictures from the trip
We had a great time at my Mom's Shaw family reunion in Rexburg Idaho. The 5 hour drive there was really pretty good. Amberlee and her kids came with me and mine. We had fun visiting the farmers market the night before with good friend Wendy Z. She was nice enough to let us stay at her house that night too. The kids loved it and her. Thanks Wendy!!! Then the next morning we were off to a freezing cold breakfast at a local park. We made a couple of trips to Walmart, and K-mart to try and find warm clothes for the kids just because I didn't bring enough. But the later it got in the day the more it warmed up. The kids actually ended up swimming at the splash park. They also had a merry-go-round carosel with awesome horses. The kids loved that too. It was also fun to see a lot of my Mom's family that I haven't seen in years. I hope to keep in touch with them. We didn't get to stay as long as we wanted, Rexburg is a neat place.

Brandon has recently spent a lot of time riding his new dirt bike with friends. He has also spent some great times riding with me. It's our date of choice these days. I love these pictures I think they show how much he loves life and how the kid got bigger and so did the toys. Looks great babe!! And what a great view!

Summer 2009

Everyone has been telling me that I need to start this, so here goes............

This summer has already been a busy one, with lots of fun activities, projects, and work. Brandon is getting his private pilots license and flies as often as the weather and his job will let him. He loves it!! And I love it because it makes him happy. Every night we tell sparkely princess stories to put the girls to bed. Of course the princesses always have to marry someone, so Aubry and Mariah take turns fighting about who gets to marry their daddy. You can tell he is a great Dad.

Aubry is very very sweet, and becoming a bigger helper every day. She will turn 5 in August. Mom is having a hard time with the idea of sending her to Kindergarten. I love her smile. She can change the whole mood of everything when she smiles. She also loves to play. If I would let her she could play all day and night. She never wants me to stay around and watch what she's doing. I figure it's because she wants to be the boss. ;)

Mariah is a little spitfire with the most angelic little twist. She will turn 3 in August. Time flies too fast for me. She is so smart, she surprises me how smart she is. And most people melt when they see her, she's such a cutie. She loves to follow her big sister around and do everything that she does. She also loves to copy what other people say, so I have to watch it. She thinks everything that is negative is a bad word. For example if I say "that's naughty." She says, "Mom don't say that bad word." ;) They always make me smile.

Easton just had his first birthday, I sure was hoping he would stay a baby for longer. But his little personality is just showing up. So cute. I love seeing him figure things out. He is so smart, and loves buttons. He knows they do something and can't wait to push them to see what it is going to be. He recently figured out how to go down the slide by himself, and no matter how hard he hits, or how many times he flips, he always ends up smiling.

I am always watching after my kids. Although since I quit nursing Easton, Brandon and I have gotten used to being able to go on dates again. I feel like we are still dating. :) I couldn't have married anyone better for me than him. I work at keeping the house clean. Which only happens once a day, and for a very short period of time. Trying to prevent serious injury, and breaking up fights. Reading books, and saying prayers. Begging them to eat good food, and changing diapers. It's a very full life. I am learning to be less selfish. And learning to try to be more patient. And learning humility. Kids have a way of teaching it all to you. I love them more than anything. What a wonderful life I have been blessed with.
